Twin cities

"Whoever named these cities surely never set foot there."

The cities are divided by a monumental chasm, connectes only by a frail, thread-thin bridge that forms a fain bond between them. Aside from merchants, only a few cross regularly into the neighboring city and fewer still make any effort to increase that number. Neither city possesses many means of sustaining itself, and so necessity, in the end, binds them together.
