The Spirals

The first records of the Spirals appeared only a few decades ago. The purpose and reason behind their presence remain unknown. Reports speak of sailors witnessing twisted beings moving through the waters, swimming across seas and oceans like malformed shadows beneath the waves. What is known with certainty is that no two creatures are alike, and that their presence is spreading across ever greater reaches of the world. They assault the homes of hermits who dwell in the wilds, slaughter the beasts of the forests, and now pose an ever-growing threat to those living on the outskirts of cities. Their behavior is unpredictable. More often than not, they are savage.
